Research

My research focuses on security and privacy in data management systems and data-intensive applications. I work on access control, privacy-preserving data management, trust and risk-aware information sharing, and security models for distributed, decentralized, mobile, and pervasive environments.

My research contributions span secure and selective publishing of XML documents, access control and anonymization for data streams, relationship-based access control and privacy enforcement in online social networks, decentralized and blockchain-supported privacy enforcement, trustworthy inter-organizational processes, IoT and edge security, malware and botnet detection, privacy-preserving knowledge graphs, metadata leakage in mobile image sharing, wearable-app privacy compliance, UAV and cyber-physical security, and lightweight LLMs for security analytics.
