She is Full Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Sciences, University of Insubria. Her research focuses on security and privacy in data management systems and data-intensive applications, with contributions spanning access control, privacy-preserving data management, online social networks, decentralized and cloud platforms, Semantic Web technologies, data outsourcing, Web services, data streams, IoT ecosystems, knowledge graphs, mobile and pervasive computing, and security analytics supported by lightweight LLMs.
